Our Cranbrook Location Celebrates 5 Years!
Berry Architecture has had an office in Cranbrook for five years! We had a celebration on November 7th at the Cranbrook History Centre. It was a fun night—we had our Virtual Reality set up, our company video playing, a scavenger hunt through the History Centre’s museum, plus beverages and yummy appetizers catered by The Heid Out and, of course, lots of mingling and good conversation. We had a draw for a beautiful gift basket stuffed full of goodies that was put together by Noemie. The winner of the gift basket was Jared Teneese, COO of the History Centre. Team members in attendance were George, Isaac, Susanne, Tracy W., Noemie, Shylia, and Laura. It was great to celebrate with clients, consultants, and community members from the Cranbrook area!

Welcome New Team Member!
We are excited to announce another new addition to our team. Zachariah (Zac) White joined us on November 11th in the role of Construction Administrator. He is working in our Kelowna office and will be providing CA services to a wide region in the Okanagan and interior of BC. Zac is highly qualified, with a Bachelor of Architectural Studies Degree and a Diploma in Architectural Technology. He has specialized in Building Envelope and Construction Administration and has many years of experience in these fields. He has worked in the architectural industry in the Okanagan Valley since 2006 and knows the region well. Welcome Zac!

Project Completion - 5441-45 Street Development
A new commercial stripmall in the Capstone area of Red Deer was completed this month. Capstone is a newer community that is master-planned to create a pedestrian-friendly neighbourhood which strives to find an equilibrium between living, working, culture, and recreation. The new stripmall is one of the first developments located in the Capstone Taylor Drive Zone and provides premises for five businesses, the first tenant being Booyah Bagels. Two spaces are currently under development, leaving two additional bays still to be leased. The design has a strong visual impact, with cultured stone, horizontal metal siding, flat metal panels, and wood siding accents. Each bay is afforded plenty of natural light via expansive aluminum storefront windows. We enjoyed working with East Lincoln Properties once again on another successful project.

Here are some things we've been up to:
On November 7th, Carlos, Aidan, and Maryam attended an Open House hosted by Falcon Engineering to showcase their new office in Kelowna. It was a fun evening, and the food was fabulous! Congratulations, Falcon!
Carlos and Ileana attended the 33rd Annual Innkeeper’s Gala benefitting the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation on November 16th. We attended this annual event last year as well; and this year, Berry Architecture made a substantial “Silver Level” donation to this very worthwhile cause.
