Berry Architecture’s 25th Anniversary Party!

Our firm was officially incorporated on August 17, 1998—25 years ago! On August 10, 2023, we celebrated with a party for our staff and their families, as well as some long-term consultants, product reps, contractors, and clients. We enjoyed delicious appetizers prepared by The Tribe, two lovely cakes made by Fancy Cakes, and refreshing beverages from Minhas Brewing. It was wonderful to have so many family members and work colleagues and friends celebrate with us. Thanks so much to everyone who attended!

Berry Architecture — A Brief History Lesson

George Berry began the firm in 1998 with just himself and one technologist. When she left in 1999 to pursue a new career, Susanne Widdecke joined the team. A year later, Tracy Wells moved to Red Deer to round out our small team, which gradually expanded from that point. Susanne became a partner in 2004 and Isaac Martinez joined us as a partner in 2018. Associate Partners Angela Flinn and Carlos Gamez Ruiz joined the team in 2006 and 2015 respectively. Berry Architecture has been in three locations in Red Deer over the years, and we moved into our completely renovated LEED-Gold office building in 2011.

In 2019, we branched out with a new office in Cranbrook, and two years later in Kelowna. Our team complement is currently 21 strong—a long way from a single-practitioner firm. Berry Architecture has completed thousands of projects—large and small—throughout all regions of Alberta and British Columbia. We are proud of the personalized service we deliver, our attention to detail, our commitment to excellence, our relationships with our clients, and our steadfast belief in the importance of sustainable architecture.
