Pleasant View Lodge is a new construction lodge in Spirit River, Alberta which replaced the existing lodge on a nearby site. It is a three-storey facility with a mix of 40 Seniors’ Lodge suites (including four couple suites); 26 Designated Supportive Living, Level 4 suites; and 26 Designated Supportive Living, Level 4 for Dementia suites. The new lodge incorporated all the required amenities in a homey, comfortable, and pleasant atmosphere which was designed to be in keeping with the cultural context of the Spirit River area.

The residents have access to green spaces on the north and southeast sides of the building, featuring gazebos, benches, and raised planting beds along several walking paths. The Level 4D residents have their own fenced-in courtyard with similar site features. The new lodge was a Construction Management project with Krawford Construction and was completed in March of 2024, with residents moving in mid-May. In addition to the lodge, a self-contained seniors’ apartment building is currently being constructed on the southeast portion of the site. This is also a Berry Architecture project.
