Sylvan Lake Municipal Library

Sylvan Lake, Alberta

This project involved interior renovations to the existing municipal library and an expansion into the space formerly occupied by the Town of Sylvan Lake Archives. Our challenge was to achieve the most functional and inviting multi-use space possible on a limited budget. Phasing plans and site safety were extremely important as the library remained open during construction.

The library increased its available square footage and gained significant space for stacks, circulation desk, storage, program space, computer stations, and client reading areas. We met with the library board for project reviews at various stages throughout the project duration. This project is an excellent community-based project which provides significant, lasting benefits to the community of Sylvan Lake and area.
