This 50-unit independent living seniors’ apartment complex is a three floor wood frame structure with below-grade heated and secure parking. There are 47 one bedroom suites including five barrier-free suites, with an average area of 580 m2. There are three two bedroom units with an average area of 590 m2. Each suite is complete with a full-sized kitchen, in-suite storage, large living area, and covered balcony. The exterior of the building matches the adjacent existing seniors’ lodge and seniors’ apartment on the site. There is a covered walkway that connects all three buildings, providing residents with access to all buildings and amenities. The amenity spaces within Rosslyn Terrace include a large, two-storey common area adjacent to the main entrance which is complete with a full kitchen; sitting areas on each floor at the end of the corridors; laundry rooms located on the main and second floors with open common areas adjacent; and a common area that is enclosed and can be locked on the second floor. There are 42 underground parking stalls in the heated parkade and 17 parking stalls at the rear of the building. The main entrance features a large, welcoming exposed wood canopy with benches overlooking the spacious neighbourhood green space. The many energy efficient features include an HVAC heat recovery system, triple-glazed windows, and energy efficient wall and roof assemblies. Rosslyn Terrace was completed in 2012.
