Berry Architecture provided design and project management services for the construction of a new administrative building for Claystone Waste in Beaver County, Alberta. The new building is located adjacent to the entrance to the regional landfill and has an approximate footprint of 6,300 ft2.

The administration building includes meeting and training room space, secured IT system and communications space, secured physical filing space, a reception area, common kitchen area, staff meeting room, and generous boardroom. The design of the office furniture included re-use of existing as well as new furniture.

The building’s design and construction adhered to LEED principles, with a minimum design objective of a LEED Silver rating. The project was awarded LEED Gold designation in August 2022. As part of this initiative, solar panels were installed on the roof and provide a significant source of electricity for the facility.
