Previously the Ponoka water treatment plant, the Hudson’s Green Community Centre has been designed to be multi-functional, incorporating spaces for clubs and meeting areas. The first phase included demolition work within the building, with only minor site revisions pending future completion of street development. A new janitor’s room, washrooms, kitchen, flooring, finishes, repair work on the stairs and handrails, and constructing a new floor for the meeting room has been completed. Second phase will be to install a lift to the mezzanine and complete the site work. The third phase will be to install a living wall, solar tubes, and hot water solar collectors.
