Previously the Ponoka water treatment plant, the Community center has been designed to be multi-functional, incorporating spaces for clubs and meeting areas. The first phase included demolition work within building, with only minor site revisions to be completed until future completion of street development. A new janitor room, washrooms, kitchen, flooring, finishes, repair work on the stairs and handrails and constructing a new floor for meeting room has been completed. Second phase will be to install a lift to mezzanine and complete the site work. The third phase will be to install a living wall, solar tubes & hot water solar collectors.
