We have recently completed the design and construction of our new LEED Silver office building. Originally built in the 50’s this two storey, 8,000sq. ft. building underwent major revitalization. We provided the Architectural, Structural, LEED, and Interior Design. The goal was to provide and environmentally responsible renovation from start to finish. The building itself provided guidance as to which features it would support. The construction waste management was documented and disposed of responsibly (including construction air filtration), rain water and grey water reclamation, solar collectors for domestic water, VAV and heat recovery for tailored working environment, and a green roof occupying 50% of the roof surface. We believe that these underutilized options as well as more prevalent industry choices like effective use of natural light, daylight sensors, and occupant sensors are the future of all construction.
The main floor workspace was designed around the growing needs of an accounting office that joined with Berry Architecture and Associates in a cooperative venture to revitalize the building. The space was tailored for the private office and meeting rooms necessary for their clients.
The upper floor is divided into defined clusters of workspaces that support Berry Architecture’s team-based environment. The area features a large naturally lit lobby and boardroom, a fully appointed “Café”, and custom HVAC zones for each space.
